Hi! My name is Ella Tovey and I am an athletics and editorial photographer based in Chicago and New York. I studied Fine Arts Photography at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University. My work has been featured in the Chicago Sun-Times, Fox 32 Chicago, and I’ve shot alongside Federico Pardo (National Geographic) through an expedition to Yellowstone National Park. 

In 2024 and 2025, I photographed the Chatham Anglers for the Cape Cod Baseball League. In 2023, I shot for both Moody and Zipped magazines. From 2022-2026, I interned for Syracuse Athletics’ Media Department. 

My background in Fine Arts shapes my technique, drawing my eye to the often overlooked moments that reveal an athletes’ candid emotions while guiding me to pursue creative angles that capture a sport’s dynamic action.
